One of the largest manufacturers of Axminster, Wilton and tufted carpets. Axminster are one of the few companies in the country to offer a 'fleece to floor' process - spinning, dyeing, designing and manufacturing outstanding quality and are certain to add style, luxury and elegance to your home for years to come.Thomas Whitty began making Axminster method carpets in 1755. This original Axminster carpet could be found in Chatsworth House and Brighton Pavilion as well as being bought by King George III and Queen Charlotte, who visited the factory.

102 years later a carpet manufacturer called Harry Dutfield was on a train where he met a vicar from the West Country who told him that carpets had not been made in Axminster for a while due to a disastrous fire that had destroyed the factory. The germ of an idea was born and in 1937 the decision was taken to relaunch carpet manufacturing in the town of Axminster. This was the renaissance of ‘Axminsters from Axminster’. Axminster Carpets continues the proud tradition of making the finest carpets in the world. Carpets from Axminster can be found in royal residences, in some of the finest hotels in the world, in train carriages, on the aircraft of major global airlines and in thousands of discerning homes up and down the country.

To celebrate 250 years of carpet weaving in Axminster a commemorative rug was produced. Re-enacting history the carpet was paraded by the weavers of Axminster Carpets through the town to the Minster Church where it was blessed by the Bishop of Exeter and then presented to the Earl of Devon, who was representing the Queen. It is now in Clarence House, the home of HRH the Prince of Wales. Axminster Carpets is the proud winner of the 2016 International Wool Carpet & Rug Awards.

A wool rich Brintons carpet will create a truly luxurious floor covering. In a choice of wilton or axminster designs, you can create the look you have been dreaming of for your home. Brintons has become synonymous with iconic brand advertising for luxury carpets - creating beautiful designs that stand the test of time. This strategy is in plain evidence if you review the last few decades of Brintons Carpetsinnovative advertising, having previously worked with inspirational designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Manolo Blahnik.

At Brintons Carpets, they marry 230 years of carpet manufacturing expertise with one of man's oldest and most favoured materials, creating the most luxurious carpets that will look and feel good for years to come. The new campaign naturally celebrates design by embracing the seasons of nature. Combining patterns and plains in iconic imagery shows off the versatility and beauty of our ranges. Using models with body art meant that they blended seamlessly with the carpet emphasising the luxurious nature of wool rich carpets as opposed to other flooring alternatives. Having the carpet flow from and around the bodies showed how easy it is to work with and gave the images beauty and grace. The whole effect of the model, body art and costume construction results in truly iconic images that captivate your senses. Brintons Carpets have continued to invest in their brand.

When you consider the unique benefits of a Westex Carpets, you can appreciate that Westex Carpets represents value for money. The secret of durability is in the Westex 2 & 3 fold yarn. Standard carpet manufacturers rely on single yarn, but Westex only uses fine 2-fold and 3-fold yarns. The advantage of these yarns is they act like a spring to give superior quality, resiliance and durability, preventing unexplained pile reversal with enhanced non-crush properties.

Penthouse Carpets based in Rochdale, North West England, Penthouse Carpets is located in an area steeped in the traditions of textile manufacturing. Over the last 30 years, the company has developed it's experties in producing fine wool rich twist pile carpets. A close working partnership with a small number of UK based spinners, ensures high quality control standards on the yarn used to produce their carpets. A programme of continuous improvement of their plant and machinery ensures they are able to supply tufted carpets of the highest quality.

One of the success stories of the British carpet industry, Lancashire based Cormar Carpets was established in the North of England in 1956 and today ranks as one of the leading carpet manufacturers in the UK. Throughout the last 50 years it has placed great emphasis on quality, service and reliability. In fact, such is the esteem in which the Cormar Carpets is held, that it has been voted ‘Floor Covering Supplier of the Year’ for the last five years by readers of the flooring trade magazine, as well as winning many independent retailer awards.

Our Cormar Carpets comprehensive range of plain and heather wool twist piles, textured loop piles and easy clean polypropylene carpets are all manufactured on site at the two mills. Only the best quality yarns in 100% pure new wool, 80% wool blends and easy clean polypropylene are used and most ranges are available in both four and five metre widths for carpeting wider rooms without joins.

A family run business, Brockways believe strongly in British craftsmanship. Embedded in Brockway's workforce is the expertise of generations of carpet makers: many of today's Brockway Carpets employees are the sons and daughters of previous staff, and the skilled recipients of knowledge and experience passed down through the years. Because Brockway Carpets manufacture in their own factory, they have much more control and influence over the choice of raw materials and designs that make up a Brockway carpet.

Brockway's work with industry leading designers and colourists to stay one step ahead of consumer preferences, and conduct regular research with spinners, yarn suppliers and their retailers to monitor trends. Brockways work closely with machine manufacturers and invest on a regular basis in technology which will help them create a better product, more efficiently. Brockway's staff all take an immense pride in the role they play in the creation of a Brockway carpet. Nothing escapes the eagle eyes of their highly trained production personnel and quality control staff, and all carpets are hand-finished once they leave the machine to make sure that they reach the high standard of quality required for a Brockway carpet.
